2018 QuantNet MFE 排名
QuantNet 是 MFE 专业的权威排名网站 ，此次排名对美国和加拿大的 29 个 Financial Engineering 、 Mathematical Finance 、 Quantitative Finance 硕士项目的招生、就业和职业服务信息进行了调查。
其中有 27 个项目提供了相关数据，以下为排名依据：

巴鲁克学院和加州大学伯克利分校并列第一， CMU 和哥大 Financial Engineering 并列第三，接下来是普林斯顿和 NYU 。

Baruch College 是一所以商科著名的纽约曼哈顿的公立大学，是 CUNY 的学院成员。旗下的 Zicklin 商学院是美国最大的商学院之一，而且毗邻美国金融中心华尔街，由于得天独厚的地理优势， Zicklin 商学院吸引了大批业界的资深教职员工，该校毕业生的就业率很高，很多毕业生都进入了美国顶尖的投资银行、金融公司工作。该校培养的企业首席执行官和高层管理人才的数量在美国所有大学中列首位。
UC Berkeley 的金融工程项目在 Quantnet 和 TFE 排名中都位居榜首。此项目位于哈斯商学院下，该项目仅一年，分 4 个课程 quarter 和一个实习 quarter 。还有类似高盛、 Armen Avanessians 这种业界顶级金融机构老大来联合授课，目的就是为了培养职业技能型的人才，能够迅速融入到商业实战之中。
CMU 的金融工程项目名为 Master of Computational Finance ，简称为 MSCF ，拥有匹兹堡（本部）和纽约两个教学区，具有明显的跨学科特点，整合了 CMU 顶尖的商学，计算机和数学资源（ Tepper 商学院、数学系、统计学系、 Heinz 学院）。 MSCF 项目时间为 18 个月，分为三个学期。在第二个学期和第三学期之间安排了暑期实习。
哥大的 MFE ，全称 Master of Science in Financial Engineering ，是设立在哥大工程与应用科学学院的工业工程与运筹研究 IEOR 系下，项目时长为 18 个月。毕业生最主要的功能角色通常是算法交易和贸易支持、金融建模和量化策略、投资组合管理、估值、定量研究和风险管理。
普林斯顿的金融工程项目名为 Master in Finance ，是开设在 Bendheim Center for Finance 学院之下，该专业提供一年制和两年制两种毕业方式，大部分学生都是两年毕业，两年制的学生必须在第一年的暑假完成一次实习内容。
NYC 排名第六的 Mathematics in Finance 。因其数学系的强势而声名远扬，一直在美国应用数学界有着举足轻重的地位。此项目开设于大名鼎鼎的 Courant 数学科学研究所下，数学味浓郁，培养学生将金融理论转化为实践应用，让学生能够就业于风险金融、金融 IT 和大数据行业。
MFE
专业对申请者的数学和计算机背景有较高的要求 ，因此，很多同学认为 MFE 的技术性比 MSF 高，含金量也更高。
MFE 在美国也叫数量金融、金融数学等，是金融硕士中专业性最强的一种项目。 金融工程广泛使用模型 ，用数学方法分析股票走势、收益率曲线，分析各种债券等的定价规律、作用以及应用策略。 可以说，金融工程是金融学与数学，计算科学，计算机科学交叉渗透形成的学科。
传统 MFE 的课程实际的商科内容很少，更偏重于随机过程、概率、微积分这类高等数学的训练，以及计算机编程这种工程学的内容。
通过高强度的数理能力培养 ， MFE 学生掌握的技能主要是金融衍生品的定价方式，以及如何通过各种金融衍生品的特性进行套利。
