出国留学之前,觉得Email这个东西好像...只是用来注册各种账号用的...出国留学之后,才深有体会,原来美剧和英剧上的Email才是人与人之间交流沟通的最主要方式是真的......最开始我是拒绝的,什么事情都要写Email感觉好麻烦...但是后来,写Email的好处就get到了~

       出国留学之前,觉得Email这个东西好像…只是用来注册各种账号用的…出国留学之后,才深有体会,原来美剧和英剧上的Email才是人与人之间交流沟通的最主要方式是真的……最开始我是拒绝的,什么事情都要写Email感觉好麻烦…但是后来,写Email的好处就get到了~首先,详细的文字解释能让彼此更好的领会到对方的意思,避免了打电话听不懂对方的意思,而且又能够让你在深思熟虑之后写出完成连贯的语句,避免了打电话时说话卡壳的尴尬。比如课后想与同学交流、找老师问问题的时候,Email就派上用场了~!



1. 第一印象很重要!

       建议使用学校邮箱发邮件~如果你给申请的公司或套磁的教授写信,学邮往往能让对方快速了解你来自哪个大学,从而形成一个较好的第一印象。

2. 一定要写主题和打招呼!

       让收到邮件的人可以从主题里就提取你缩写邮件的关键信息,从而知道这封邮件大概关于什么,以及是否紧急。给比较数落的导师写信时可以address them by their first time, 否则用family name (如Dear Dr. Miles)

       如果不知道收信人姓名,可以使用:
       a. Dear Sir or Madam
       b. To whom it may concerned
       c. 对方的职位title:如Dear Sales Team, Dear Admissions Office等等。 如果想要表达比较不满意的语气时,或者回复熟悉的人的邮件时,可以不写称呼,直接用Hi或者Hello开头。

3. 注意落款!

       这点可能让小伙伴有些头疼,那么多词用哪个才合适?发给不同的人,和在不同的语境下,用的都是不一样的哦~

       下面是一些常见的问候语:

Best Regards Business casual or formal. You would use this if the recipient is someone you haven't met in real life.
Best Wishes Casual or Business casual. A polite way to end the letter. Can be used between friends or strangers.
Cheers Very casual. Used between friends. Can be used between coworks if you want to appear very casual, at the risk of sounding unprofessional.
Yours Cordially Formal. Used in business correpondence when the topic of the letter is serious. Sometimes used if there is conflict between the sender and the recipient.
Yours Sincerely When the recipient is addressed by name and is known to the sender to someone degree.  

4. 客气的邮件问好:

周一/周二 可以用:
I hope that your week is off to a great start.
周五 可以用:
Hope you had a great weekend.
万能用法:
Hope you're well./Hope you are doing well.

请人帮忙:

At your convenience, would you please send me … 最后再加上 Thanks for your assistance.

打了草稿,请上司过目:

Attached is the drafted xx file. It is still a work in process but I would like to see if anything immediately stood out to you as odd or worthy of follow-up.

自动回复设置参考:

Thank you for your e-mail. I will be out of the office on vacation from XXX - XXX with no access to e-mails. I apologize for any delay in response to your e-mail. And I will respond to your e-mail as quickly as I can when I return to the office on XX. XX. XXXX. Many Thanks.

Thank you for your e-mail. I am out of the office in meetings on XXX and XXX with limited access to e-mail. If you need immediate assistance, please contact me via my mobile phone. Thanks a lot.
