英国有这样一所大学，他与剑桥大学、牛津大学、帝国理工学院和伦敦大学学院并列为英国TOP5研究型大学，他是全欧洲唯一一个拥有机场的大学，他又被誉为英国“中科院”。这样一所十分厉害的大学因为仅培养研究生和博士生，不开设本科专业不颁发大学学士学位，故类不参与众多大学综合排名。这所大学就是克兰菲尔德大学(Cranfield University)。
因为此大学并不参与世界排名，所以很多中国的小伙伴并不知道有这样一所大学的存在，所以今天我们就来深入的了解一下这个优秀的大学。克兰菲尔德大学始建于1969年，位于英国英格兰的贝德福德(Bedfordshire )。克兰菲尔德大学曾5次获得女王周年奖;2014年REF评估中有81%的研究被评为“世界领先”或“国际杰出”。 克兰菲尔德航工程学院至今授予英国超过50%的航天及航空工程研究生学位，其实力在欧洲及世界范围内处于前列，也是登月第一人阿姆斯特朗的名誉博士学位获得地。知名校友包括劳斯莱斯CEO，阿斯顿马丁CEO，巴克莱银行CEO，John Lewis集团Chairman等。
