一般来说，理学硕士会在 1.5-2 年内完成学位，以斯坦福的 MS in EE 为例：

一般时间较短，这里重点介绍一下几个比较典型的院校： Cornell/UCB, 还有一些学校大家有时间可以自己去了解一下： Duke/Rice 等
首先来说一下典型学校之一康奈尔：
Cornell 的电子与计算机工程专业，就只有 MENG
具体项目如下：
The M.Eng. Project is designed to provide you with substantive creative-thinking, problem-solving and team work experiences, along with opportunities to develop advanced design skills.Another critical aspect of the project is the emphasis on effective communication—an essential skill in the workplace.
在 9 个月的时间内需要完成相应的学分和一个 project ，项目的强度还是蛮大的。
You will work closely with a faculty member on a topical problem of your own choosing. Many alumni tell us their project experience has translated to real advantages in the workplace.
如果有些学生觉得时间比较短，那么是可以和学校去沟通的是否可以延到一年半毕业的，但是这种情况的话每个学校每个项目都不太一样，以最后沟通的结果为准，比如去年我们去 Cornell 读生物医学工程的学生就和学校沟通好了可以一年半毕业。一年半毕业最大的好处就是可以有两个暑假找工作，机会会多一些。

需要提醒的一点是：总体来说MENG培养的方向主要是未来进入产业界的，如果将来要继续读博的学生需要慎重考虑。
现在这个时间19年理工科的申请大部分的同学都已经进行的差不多了，提醒一下的就是在选择学位的时候一定要匹配好自己的职业规划。
