The University has today announced it will be closing its London Campus at the end of this academic year. The campus, based in the city’s financial district, will continue operating degree programmes until summer 2020.
利物浦大学宣布将在本学年末关闭伦敦校区。该校区位于伦敦城市的金融区，将继续开展学位课程直至2020年夏季。
针对2020年秋季入学的学生申请不再接收，已递交伦敦校区申请的学生，后续可以选择主校区同等专业或替代专业。
利物浦大学教育负责人Gavin Brown表示：
The University of Liverpool was the first non-London based Russell Group university to open a campus in London, an achievement we are extremely proud of. For the past six years, we have delivered a professionally focused portfolio to an international community of postgraduate students and delivered innovative final year options to our undergraduates.

During this period however, our strategic priorities have evolved and we are now seeking to focus our energy on driving access to education through a dual local and global vision, which will see a major programme of investment in our campus in Liverpool alongside the launch of a new generation of online programmes accessible to students all over the world. This reflects our civic mission to achieve positive economic and social change and means that, regrettably, our strategic focus for the immediate future has moved away from maintaining a presence in the capital.

利物浦大学伦敦校区在2013年正式对外招生，设立的目的是为了借助伦敦地区的区位优势，方便学生在毕业之后能够更便捷、更有效率地找到工作和实习机会。
